Research study for amputees

Individuals with below the knee amputation are eligible to participate in research conducted in the Department of Dermatology at Johns Hopkins University. The goal is help with problems like skin breakdown in our patients with amputations and prosthetics.

Study volunteers must meet the following criteria:

  • Be age 18 or older
  • Have below the knee amputation
  • Be willing to come in for multiple visits for as few as 6 months

Visits include:

  • 1 blood draw
  • 1 skin biopsy
  • Up to 6 skin injections

Compensation for time and travel available up to $500
