Johns Hopkins' 21st Century Cities Initiative, or 21CC, will provide four or more graduate students working toward a PhD degree with an award for innovative dissertation research focusing on policy-relevant urban issues that closely align with 21CC's interest areas: urban economic development, poverty, health, real estate, environmental sustainability, education, transportation, infrastructure, and public policy.
Each awardee will be expected to participate in a set of 21CC events that include attending some research seminars, mentoring undergraduates, and working with the faculty director on outreach activity tied to the PhD research.
Applications are due by April 26. For more information, visit the 21CC website.
