Disability film screening, panel discussion

The Center for Advanced Media Studies (CAMS) at Johns Hopkins invites you to an evening of accessible film and a panel discussion as part of the Films You Cannot See Anywhere Else series, which will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, at the Parkway theater. The event is co-sponsored by Superfest Disability Film Festival, JHU Writing Seminars, the Graduate Representative Organization, and JHU Student Disability Services.

The event will consist of a screening of four short films, followed by a panel discussion with Jennifer Natalya Fink, of Georgetown and author of Bhopal Dance; Catherine Kudlick, of SFSU and co-director of Superfest; and Bernadette Wegenstein, of Johns Hopkins. Mark A. Riccobono, president, National Federation of the Blind, will also be joining our discussion.

Accessibility: Each of the films to be screened includes audio description and open captions. In addition, the Parkway will have assisted-listening devices available. Anyone who requires the use of an assisted-listening device or sign language interpretation should notify CAMS in advance to ensure that the attendee's needs can be accommodated. This can be done by March 18 through the CAMS website.

Please note that seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
