Host a night event during SOHOP

Student groups who would like to meet the new Class of 2023 should apply for their student group to host their own event during the evenings of SOHOP or Discovery Days. This year, SOHOP is on April 3rd and April 10th, with these night events from 9:30pm until 11pm. Discovery Days is on April 9th,and those events will run from 10:30pm until midnight. By hosting an event, student groups will have the chance to meet incoming students and get them involved in their student organizations before orientation even starts, all sponsored by Undergraduate Admissions.

Participants will receive a $100 budget to host each event, and they will get an additional award of $100 for their student organization. That means that if a student organization hosts an event for both weeks of SOHOP and for Discovery Days, they will get a $300 budget plus $300 for their organization.

Examples include a dance class, cooking class, sports clinic, singing class, adult coloring, screening a film, or just about anything else, but the possibilities are endless.

To apply, please fill out this form. Proposals are due on March 4th at 11:59pm. Please contact Hayley Bronner (hbronne1@jhu.edu) with any questions or concerns.
