Imagine Cup is a global competition that empowers the next generation of computer science students to team up and use their creativity, passion and knowledge of technology to create applications that shape how people live, work and play. Every year tens of thousands of students from across the globe compete for cash, travel and prizes and for the honor of taking home the Imagine Cup.
Teams first compete in online Regional Finals to advance to one of the in-person Regional Finals. There are 3 in-person Regional Finals in Asia, EMEA, and the Americas. Teams will compete for over $20,000 in prizes at each Regional Finals. The first place team from each region advance to the World Championship for a chance to win $100,000 and take home the Imagine Cup.
The online ideation deadline for the Americas is March 1st, 2019 and the regional finalists will be selected by April 1st, 2019. The regional finals will be held in Seattle in May 2019.
