Volunteers needed for research study on sound perception

A research study on brainwaves (EEG) and sound perception seeks volunteers for a research study. The goal is to understand how the mind and brain process sounds. Participants will earn $10 per hour and be provided with the opportunity to observe their own brainwaves. The experiment duration is one 2-hour session.

Participants must be between 18 and 35 years old with no history of hearing problems, neurological impairments (e.g. epilepsy), psychiatric impairments (e.g. schizophrenia) or severe head injury (i.e. loss of consciousness for more than 30 minutes). Potential participants should contact eegvolunteer@lists.johnshopkins.edu

This research is conducted under the direction of Dr. Mounya Elhilali, and will take place in Barton Hall, Homewood Campus.
