Training workshop for professionals serving low-income families with young children

Nationally renowned training workshop for professionals serving low-income families with young children, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m, March 4-5 at the School of Nursing. This interactive, two-day workshop trains health and educational professionals and paraprofessionals on how to effectively lead groups in the Chicago Parent Program, an evidence-based method for strengthening parenting skills and reducing behavior problems in young children. The program is listed on the National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (SAMHSA), the California Evidence-based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare, and the Clearinghouse for Military Family Readiness.

Cost is $800 (tuition remission available; scholarship application deadline extended until Jan. 15).
