On Thursday, Dec. 6, starting at 8 a.m., the city of Baltimore will be closing portions of Charles Street, Mount Vernon Place, and other roadways in the vicinity of the Peabody Institute in preparation for the annual Washington Monument Lighting Ceremony. The Homewood-Peabody-JHMI bus route will be modified accordingly. From 8 a.m. until the remainder of Thursday, Stop #8 (Peabody northbound) will be relocated to the corner of Calvert Street and Monument Street.
