Alternative Spring Break: The Civil Rights Movement

This Spring Break, the Interfaith Center will be traveling to Alabama to learn about the history and spirit of the civil rights movement and the continued effort toward social justice today. This year's destination was inspired by the Common Read book, The Montgomery Bus Boycott and the Women Who Started It. The trip will run March 17-22. The total cost, including flight, meals, and housing, is $150. There is a $50 deposit to hold your spot (some tuition assistance available).

For more information, contact the Rev. Maeba Jonas, assistant chaplain, Johns Hopkins University, at maeba@jhu.edu. Applications are available on the Alternative Spring Break page of the Homewood Student Affairs/Campus Ministries website.
