Seeking summer participants for EEG study in auditory perception

Researchers are seeking volunteers over the summer for a research study on brainwaves (EEG) and sound perception. The goal is to understand how the mind and brain process sounds. Participants will earn $10 per hour, and be provided with the opportunity to observe their own brainwaves. To be eligible, participants must be between 18 and 45 years old with no history of hearing problems, neurological impairments (e.g., epilepsy), psychiatric impairments (e.g., schizophrenia), or severe head injury (i.e., loss of consciousness for more than 30 minutes).

If you are on campus over the summer and interested in participating, please contact eegvolunteer@lists.johnshopkins.edu.

This research is conducted under the direction of Mounya Elhilali in Barton Hall, Homewood campus.
