It is not too late to join the May 2018 Public Health Brigade to Honduras. Global Brigades is the largest student-led movement for global health that can give students a new perspective in service projects abroad.Through this experience, students will get to meet and connect with the community members and workers in Honduras but also Hopkins and San Jose State students. Students, in teams, will build a sanitation station which includes a shower, toilet, and pila (a kind of water basin) for families and also lead workshops on public health issues. Students will also see and be involved in other projects that Global Brigades lead in the community. No Spanish speaking is required - there are translators on site at all times. This also can count toward the applied experience in Public Health.
