Nominations are now being sought for the 2018 Provost's Prize for Faculty Excellence in Diversity, which provides a $50,000 honorarium in recognition of an individual's scholarly or creative contributions to diversity.
Current full-time Johns Hopkins faculty members in any discipline with bodies of work focused on diversity and inclusion are eligible. Faculty members are invited to nominate a colleague or are encouraged to submit a self-nomination.
The prize acknowledges faculty efforts across a broad spectrum of disciplines, such as international affairs, business, education, science, health, public policy, the arts, and other fields. For the award, diversity is broadly defined and includes issues related to underrepresented minorities, women, gender identity, sexual orientation, and/or disabilities.
Materials must be submitted to facultyaffairs@jhu.edu by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 6. (Please note that a previous year's winner and finalist[s] are ineligible for nomination the following year; they may apply or be nominated in the next cycle.)
Nomination guidelines and criteria are available on the the Faculty Affairs website.
Questions, as well as nominations, should be sent to facultyaffairs@jhu.edu.
