Master of Liberal Arts degree: Summer on-campus courses

Seats are available in on-campus MLA courses during the first six-week intensive summer semester (May 30-July 11). MLA courses are eligible for tuition remission for JHU employees, and they are also available to full-time Homewood graduate students via an interdivisional course request through their home school. Non-degree-seeking students are welcome to register. Registration for summer 2018 courses closes on May 8.

Courses meet weekly from May 30 to July 11. The following on-campus courses still have seats available:

  • 450.639.01 – The American Southwest: Crossroads of Cultures. The class meets weekly, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
  • 450.728.01 – On the Shoulders of Giants. The class meets weekly, from 6:30 to 9:40 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • 450.747.01 – Asian Theatre and Western Drama. The class meets weekly, from 6 to 9:10 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.

The MLA Program accepts applications for the MLA degree on a rolling basis, and the program consists of 10 courses that may be completed on-campus and online.
