The Center for Social Concern welcomes Gwen Ottinger, Drexel University, who will share how her research asks how science and technology can better promote environmental justice. Her current project examines community-led air monitoring next to oil refineries, and helps build tools to make monitoring data useful to community advocacy. She also directs the Fair Tech Collective, which trains students from Drexel University to take a critical and constructive approach to science and technology.
The workshop is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, March 12, in Charles Commons East, room 304.
