The Mount Royal Middle School Science Fair will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, at Mount Royal Elementary/Middle School (121 McMechen Street., Baltimore, MD 21217). Student projects will be set up for display, viewing, and judging.
Judges are needed from 4:15 to 6:45 p.m. on March 6. They will use their expertise to determine how well the middle school students understand and use scientific thought and process in preparing their Science Fair projects. Judges will be provided with a scoring rubric to evaluate the exhibits.
A light supper for judges will be served starting at 4:15 p.m., with judges' orientation beginning at 4:30. During this orientation, judges will learn about the scoring rubric and have the opportunity to ask questions and talk about concerns. The judging will occur from 5 to 6:30 p.m., with an awards ceremony starting at 6:45. Judges are welcome to stay for the awards presentation, but it is not expected.
