Join the May 2018 Medical Brigade to Honduras. The next meeting is on 2/25/2018 at 8PM in Hodson 211.
Students will run a medical clinic, while partnering with local health care professionals, in a rural community in Honduras that does not have access to health care. Students will be able to shadow doctors, dentists, pharmacists, gynecologists (females only), pack medications, and work with patients to figure out why they are sick. The next brigade will be a Medical/Dental brigade, May 19th-25th, 2018. The return date is 3 days before summer classes commence, so that attendees have sufficient time to rest up. On the same trip, students will be working with a community over several days to build an eco-stove and lay down pipes for clean water access. All of these projects improve the overall health of the communities, and students get to connect with the community members as you work alongside them throughout the week.
