New Hopkins Study Abroad Program in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Introducing a new Hopkins Departmental Study Abroad Program in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil through the Consortium for Advanced Studies Abroad (CASA). Students can spend one semester or a full year immersed in Brazilian culture and developing Portuguese language proficiency. Students can participate in one of two academic tracks on the program, depending on language proficiency. Track 1 is for students with 0-3 semesters of college-level Portuguese. These students will take Portuguese language and courses about Brazilian society, culture, and history in English. Track 2 is for students who have completed through Intermediate II Portuguese or the equivalent. Students take Portuguese language and direct enroll courses taught in Portuguese at Pontificia Universidade Catolica (PUC-Rio). Apply by February 15 for Fall or Academic Year 2018.
