If you do not enroll, your current benefits elections will carry over into the new plan year at the new rates except your prior PAI coverage, Health Care FSA and Dependent Care FSA. You must enroll each year to participate in a flexible spending account. Current Health Care FSA participants can roll over up to $500 of their remaining account balance into the new plan year. Beginning in 2018, Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance—currently known as Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)—will move to Securian Life. You will need to actively enroll in AD&D Insurance during Annual Enrollment to have more than the university-provided $10,000 of employee coverage beginning Jan. 1, 2018.
If you are not enrolling in JHU medical coverage for 2018, you will be required to provide a medical waiver form. Even if you have submitted this form in the past, a new form is required for 2018.
To make your Health and Life choices go to the myChoices tab of the Benefits website. You must click "I Accept" when finished for your annual enrollment elections to be processed. Changes can be made through Nov. 7. The latest submission of elections will become your benefit choices, effective Jan. 1, 2018. Be sure to print a copy of your online confirmation for your records.
