Every day we have numbers running through our heads–computer passwords, online banking, and cellphone numbers. The list is endless. But do you know the numbers that are most important to you? Your personal health indicators: blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose, and body mass index. These numbers are key indicators for developing a major illness such as heart disease or diabetes. Learn more about the numbers game and what you can do if your levels are unhealthy by viewing the webinar Your Health—It's a Numbers Game.
The webinar is scheduled for 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, Oct. 24.
The presenter, Tricia Cates, will review the healthy ranges for blood pressure, blood lipids (cholesterol), blood glucose, and body mass index, and the lifestyle behaviors that can keep numbers in check. Cates delivers group education on a variety of health and wellness topics to participants within a worksite setting. She has more than 10 years' professional experience managing her personal training business and working as a clinical exercise physiologist. She is also an instructor for the personal training certificate and degree programs at Pinnacle Career Institute. Tricia earned her bachelor of arts degree from Drury University in exercise and sport science with an emphasis in exercise physiology.
