Join the January 2018 Medical/Public Health Brigade to Honduras.
Attendants will run a medical clinic, while partnering with local health care professionals, in a rural community in Honduras that does not have access to health care. They will be able to shadow doctors, dentists, pharmacists, gynecologists (females only), pack medications, and work with patients to figure out why they are sick. The next brigade will be a hybrid Medical/Dental/Public Health brigade, January 16th-24th, 2018. The return date is 5 days before the Spring semester resumes so there will have sufficient time to rest up. On the same trip, attendants be working with one family over one week to build a sanitation station (consisting of a shower, toilet, and water pila), cement floors, and an eco-stove. All of these projects improve the overall health of the family, and students get to connect with the family as they work alongside them throughout the week.
