Healthy teenage girls and young women needed for research study

Researchers from the AIMS study are looking for teenage girls and young adult women ages 13-24 who are HIV negative and have been sexually active (had vaginal intercourse of any kind in the past). Volunteers can choose one of the study's two arms: cross-sectional or cohort.

As a participant in this study, an oral HIV test will be performed along with other STD testing. You will take a 10-minute computer questionnaire, complete five self-vaginal swabs, and possibly have a pelvic exam (cohort participants only).

Participation as part of the cross-sectional arm will involve one session for approximately 30-45 minutes; as part of the cohort arm, it will involve four sessions of approximately 45 minutes to 2 hours.

As compensation, cross-sectional participants will receive a $25 Visa gift card; cohort participants will receive a value of up to $200 spread out through four sessions.
