The Peabody-Hopkins Chorus is recruiting

The Peabody-Hopkins Chorus, directed by Edward Polochick, is recruiting experienced choral singers in all voice ranges for our upcoming season.

Our repertoire for the season will consist of the Haydn "Harmoniemesse" in the fall and the Faure "Requiem" in the spring. Both will be performed in collaboration with the Peabody Singers and the Peabody Symphony Orchestra.

In order to be considered for membership, your schedule must allow you to consistently attend rehearsals during the semester(s) you are involved. During the fall, the Peabody-Hopkins Chorus will rehearse on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30-6:00, with most rehearsals taking place in Joe Byrd Hall on the Peabody campus. During the spring, PHC will rehearse in conjunction with the Peabody Singers for the entirety of the semester on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30-4:00. Our first rehearsal of the year will be on Monday, September 11.

Auditions for Homewood students are being held on Wednesday, September 6, from 2:30 until about 5:00 or 6:00, though a few slots at other times may be possible.

General information on the choral auditions may be found at Peabody's website.

Please contact Chorus Manager Paul Faatz at pfaatz1@peabody.jhu.edu for more information or to schedule an audition.
