This summer, help to lead Johns Hopkins' efforts to create a more sustainable campus by applying to be a Trash to Treasure intern. Trash to Treasure is a 2016 Idea Lab funded campus initiative that seeks to collect unwanted and gently used dorm room items such as furniture, small appliances and books and give them back to underclassmen students. After collecting dorm room items from designated campus drop off locations during the summer move-out in July, we will have a re-sale during the fall to sell collected items back to interested students. Summer interns will be responsible for helping to plan and manage our collection during July and clean any collected items in August. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a funded campus initiative and gain time management and organizational skills. Future opportunities for leadership will be available for dedicated candidates.
Interested candidates should send a resume and a brief (~1 paragraph) statement of interest to mparanj1@jhu.edu. Please be sure to identify if you have previously been hired by Johns Hopkins in your statement of interest.
