Clinical research opportunity at JHU med campus: research assistant

The Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) is looking for a dedicated student to join the team. This is a very exciting opportunity for a student looking to develop their clinical research skills by working on a variety of HIV studies based in the Moore Clinic at the East Baltimore campus. Specifically, the position will be based within the Clinical Core of the CFAR, which assists investigators with staring and carrying out clinical trials.

The ideal candidate for this internship has some research or work experience, an interest in public health, good communication skills, a GPA 3.0 or higher, and familiarity with Excel and Word. Responsibilities include: recruit in the Moore clinic, work closely with patients and providers, assist with reporting, conduct reminder phone calls, and shadow/conduct study visit sessions.

CFAR is looking for a current junior (rising senior) who can commit 10 hours per week during the spring 2016 semester and who can stay on through the end of summer 2017, or fall 2017. During periods of non-enrollment (i.e. summer, winter vacation, and intersession), student employees may work up to 40 hours per week. However, students may not begin working more than 19.99 hours until the Monday after the posted final exam period. The position pays $10/hour.
