The EXACT research study

A Johns Hopkins research study is examining how exercise at different intensities affects cognitive function, such as memory and attention. Healthy men and women must be ages 18-40 years old, normal to overweight, and not smoking. Initial measures include aerobic and strength fitness, body composition, physical activity levels, cognitive function, and blood markers related to brain function. After a workout on a treadmill or a rest period, the cognitive and blood testing will be repeated three times over two hours, and then one day later. There are a total of three visits at Johns Hopkins Bayview.
