Collect plastic bags Monday to Friday, Nov. 7 to 11, for an environmentally and socially responsible repurposing project. On Nov. 15, Homewood Recycling will host an America Recycles Day activity—transforming plastic grocery bags into "plarn," or plastic yarn, that will be used by a local church to crochet sleeping mats for the homeless community in Baltimore.
Submit a recycling request by Friday, Nov. 11, and we will pick up the bags to use at the event. Or bring them to the event on Nov.15 (stay tuned for details).
