Be part of the National Urban League Conference

Johns Hopkins is proud to be a sponsor of the 2016 National Urban League Conference, taking place Aug. 3 to 6 in Baltimore. The event, with the theme Save Our Cities, will bring together political, business, and community leaders to discuss issues in education, jobs, and justice facing communities across the country. The conference will include speakers and workshops, networking opportunities, an expo hall, a career fair, a young professionals summit, a technology hackathon, and numerous social and entertainment events. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are tentatively expected to speak.

The Urban League needs volunteers for a variety of activities throughout the conference, and particularly is seeking individuals to assist with on-site activities at a community day of service Aug. 6 at Mund Park. Volunteers are asked to submit their information online by noon on Monday, July 25. Questions can be sent by email to Carolyn Chance at cchance8@jhmi.edu.

More information about the conference and registration is available on the conference website.
