Study seeks child volunteers with ADHD

Stewart H. Mostofsky, of the Kennedy Krieger Institute and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, is recruiting children ages 8 to 12 with a diagnosis of ADHD to participate in a research study.

The study involves an IQ assessment, an MRI brain scan, an EEG procedure, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS: a noninvasive brain stimulation technique). The procedures are minimal risk, have no direct medical benefit, and are done free of charge. Your child will also receive eight weeks of free tai chi classes. Participants will be compensated $100, plus additional cash and prizes.
