Employees with dependents participating in the Tuition Grant Program must notify the Benefits Service Center if their student will be taking any mini-sessions/mini-semesters during summer break.
Current tuition grant recipients who have not used their maximum tuition grant allowance for the 2015–16 academic year may be eligible to use the tuition grant benefit for summer courses. Payment deadlines for summer mini-semesters are often much shorter than for fall or spring semesters, so it is important for participating employees to notify the Benefits Service Center as soon as their dependent registers for a summer mini-semester.
Just because your student's school received the tuition grant payment for fall and spring, don't assume that payment for summer courses will be automatic. Act now to avoid late fees and dropped courses.
You can notify the Benefits Service Center via email at benefits@jhu.edu or call 410-516-2000.
