Crane installation on Saturday, April 23, behind Mudd Hall

The Mudd Levi Bio Infrastructure Project will kick off with the installation of a large crane in the Mudd lot between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. Road closures to Bowman Drive north/west of the Johns Hopkins Club upper-level lot will be in place and pedestrians will not be allowed to cross Bowman Drive from Bloomberg or enter the large stair behind New Chemistry on that day. Barriers will be in place to direct pedestrians around the area. Additionally, the installation process will require that there be NO vehicular access to the Mudd dock, Mudd lot, UTL dock, or the lower level of the Johns Hopkins Club for the day. The crane will remain in place for approximately three months, until mid-July.

The crane is necessary for assembly of a new steel equipment platform on the roof of Mudd Hall and the hoisting of new equipment into the penthouses and onto the platform.
