Please remind students who work in your office that they must refile new tax forms if they wish to continue their tax-exempt status for 2016. It's easy and takes only a few minutes, but students must do it by Feb. 16. If ESS is not updated by Feb. 16, the exempt status will be changed to withhold at the default tax rates, which is single and 0 exemptions for federal and single and 1 exemption for state.
