Homewood Museum to host master silhouette artist

Homewood Museum is now booking sittings for traditional custom silhouette portraits, from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6. Around since the late 18th century, this old-school art has been trending for the past few years. Cut-paper artist Lauren Muney's paper profile keepsakes make the perfect holiday gift (and elevate the lowly Facebook profile picture to art form).

Each silhouette portrait is $40 for two copies, and the price includes admission to the museum. Custom-made oval mats and rare frame styles will be available for sale on site.

Sittings take only five minutes and advance registration is strongly encouraged: call 410-516-5589 or email homewoodmuseum@jhu.edu to register or for more information.
