The Center for Educational Outreach is searching for volunteers for Girl Scouts STEM Day at Hopkins, scheduled for Oct. 17. Faculty, staff, and students are needed to provide hands-on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics projects for girls in grades 4 through 6.
The purpose of the two-hour event is to provide girls with a broader awareness of science, technology, engineering, and math concepts and ideas. During STEM Day, registered Girl Scouts will visit the Glass Pavilion on the Homewood campus and rotate through different STEM activities.
If you have a child-friendly activity that you would like to share with the local community, please consider volunteering for Girl Scouts STEM Day by contacting Kellise Williamson at kellisewilliamson@jhu.edu or 410-516-6122.
