Editor's note: Due to overwhelming response, organizers are no longer accepting volunteers for this study
The Mucosal Protection Laboratory focuses on developing methods to protect against sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancy. As part of our work we need female volunteers, between the ages of 18 and 45, for a research study examining vaginal physiology (IRB Protocol # 2002X13). Participants will perform a simple, rapid, self-administered procedure similar to tampon insertion and removal. Participant identity will be kept confidential. Time required for participation is about 15 minutes. Compensation of $20 is provided for participation in the study.
