Peabody-Hopkins Chorus is recruiting

The Peabody-Hopkins Chorus, directed by Edward Polochick, is recruiting experienced choral singers in all voice ranges for our upcoming season.

Our repertoire for the season will consist of the Durufle Requiem, as well as a rarely heard choral component of Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 1 for the fall semester, and the Mozart Reqiuem in the spring. Both will be performed in collaboration with the Peabody Singers and the Peabody Concert Orchestra.

In order to be considered for membership, your schedule must allow you to regularly attend rehearsals during the semester(s) you are involved. The Peabody-Hopkins Chorus rehearses from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, with most rehearsals taking place in Joe Byrd Hall on the Peabody campus. Rehearsals start on Wednesday, Sept. 9.

The remaining auditions take place Friday, Aug. 28, with some late auditions on Sept. 2.

Please contact chorus manager Paul Faatz by email to pfaatz1@peabody.jhu.edu for more information or to schedule an audition.
