Healthy Caucasian female volunteers:
ages 30–45
free of daily chronic pain
body mass index (BMI) over 30
able to undergo an MRI
not be pregnant
Female migraine patients:
ages 18 to 50
BMI of 18.5–24.9 OR greater than 30
Study consists of two visits at Johns Hopkins Bayview campus:
Screening and consent visit, questionnaire
Abdominal MRI, fasting blood draw, DXA scan (measures body fat percentage)
At completion of study visits, participant receives $200.
