Participants needed for fMRI study

We currently have a functional magnetic resonance imaging study open for people ages 18–35 with normal to corrected-to-normal vision. This is a study that uses fMRI to investigate the brain functions that are involved in visual processing.

Participants will be expected to attend a 1.5- to 2-hour MRI scanning session. During this session, we will obtain your informed consent and give you instructions about tasks used in the study. During the 2-hour scan session, you will need to lie still, look at briefly presented images, and report what you have seen by pressing buttons. The scans will take place at the Kennedy Krieger Institute adjacent to the Hopkins medical campus. The JHMI shuttle bus stops at the intersection of E. Monument and Broadway. You will have to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointed scan slot.

Participants will receive compensation, and if they choose will be given an image of their brain recorded by MRI.

We are recruiting participants for fMRI experiments at these times:

  • Wednesday, July 8, 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. and 3:45 to 4:45 p.m.

  • Thursday, July 9, 2 to 3 p.m. and 3 to 4 p.m.

  • Friday, July 10, 11 a.m. to noon and noon to 1 p.m.
