The Behavioral Medicine Research Lab is recruiting healthy individuals and individuals with knee arthritis who are at least 45 years old to participate in a knee pain study at the Johns Hopkins Bayview campus.
The study involves two days of participation (between 48 and 72 hours apart). Both sessions involve injecting saline and naloxone through an IV (naloxone is FDA-approved and frequently used in studies like this). Both sessions will also involve sensory testing procedures (heat, cold, and pressure), blood draws, and completing questionnaires. Participants will earn $225 for completion of all study procedures.
If you are interested in volunteering for our experiments, please call Megan Pejsa at 410-550-7902 or Behavioral Medicine Research Lab at 410-550-7000 for more information.
