Parking meters returning to Charles Street

Baltimore City DOT working on the Charles Street Reconstruction Project advised that the City Parking Office will be installing Pay to Park parking meters by June 15. Metered areas will be limited to four hours and will be found in the curb lane of Charles Street northbound and southbound. Service lane parking on the east side of Charles will continue to be available as Two Hour Limit (for visitors) and Resident Parking Permit Holders.

Additionally, the MTA has been informed that the road is open and that bus stops are available for use. No Parking signs are posted at the concrete bus pads at bus stops, and violators will be ticketed. Parking enforcement will be increased now that all signage has been installed along the newly completed roadway. Check the signs before parking in that great open spot to avoid getting ticketed.
