If you like supporting local farmers and eating sustainable, seasonal food, you should join JHU's Community-Supported Agriculture program, known as a CSA.
What is a CSA? The acronym stands for "Community-Supported Agriculture." A CSA is like a produce subscription service. Members sign up for a "share" and then get weekly deliveries of fresh, delicious produce at a designated pickup site. This CSA includes 8 items/week of seasonal local produce, which are chosen by the farm. One share will typically feed a 3-4 person household every week.
Where: Weekly veggie pickups will be at Charles St. Market When: Mondays, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Duration: June 8 to Nov. 16 Price: $650 for 24 weeks of produce (Early Bird Discount code = "JHU2015")
