Live Near Your Work walking tour: East Baltimore's Station East

Join Sandy Jenkins, coordinator for the Johns Hopkins Live Near Your Work program, to learn how you can qualify for grants and incentives to purchase a home in Station East (formerly Griffon Station). The Station East development partnership invites you to tour a furnished model home and see other houses currently being fully renovated for Hopkins employees. Over 30 houses qualify for the $36,000 LNYW grants, $10,000 Vacants to Value funding, and the Maryland Historic Trusts' frozen property taxes of about $50/month. Qualified applicants can buy a Station East home for about $2,000 cash, with monthly payments below $1,000. Some completed houses will be available this summer. Walk over to the model at 914 N. Montford after work for more information, some refreshments, and a chance to win a $50 door prize. The lender will be present to answer financing questions.
