As the Charles Street Reconstruction Project winds down, many new signs identifying parking rules and No Parking areas are going up. Parking will no longer be allowed on the concrete bus pads at bus stops, as the No Parking signs indicate. Violators will be ticketed and possibly towed. Before you park in an amazing spot, if it is on concrete not blacktop, it is likely that you are not allowed to park there! Check your surroundings for signs on construction barrels and light posts before leaving your car. Parking meters will soon be installed as well. City DOT officials have advised the city parking office that the street is ready to receive the parking meters.
