You may qualify for this study if you are age 18 or older and have chronically itchy skin.
Participation involves:
skin examination by a dermatologist
questionnaires on how itch affects the quality of your life
small skin biopsies of your skin
About the study:
Chronic itch is associated with different skin diseases and can have a negative impact on an individual's quality of life. Currently, a lot of research is being done to identify which molecular pathways are involved in itch. In this study, we are going to investigate specific molecules found in human skin that may cause itch.
