After a national search, a center director has been hired for the Homewood Early Learning Center. Meet her and the executive director on Thursday, April 9, noon to 1 p.m., in room 161 of the Morris W. Offit Building of the Mattin Center. The leadership team will discuss the benefits of a play-based curriculum and the importance of creating a nurturing environment where children build strong bonds with their caregivers and peers. A construction update will be given, highlighting the arrival of the 16 modular units in mid-April that will be assembled to create the center. Designs for the state-of-the-art playground will also be shared. Most likely, this playground is unlike any playground you've ever seen!
