The Carey School and Krieger School jointly host a discussion titled "Government Self-Capture and the Decline of Nations," which will address the factors that cause nations to decline and fall. Following remarks by Mark Zupan (Olin Professor of Economics and Public Policy at the University of Rochester), a panel consisting of Dean Bernie Ferrari from the Carey School, former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley, and Assistant Professor Angus Burgin (JHU History) will respond. Assistant Professor Brian Gunia (Carey) will moderate. A reception will follow.
