Postdocs are invited to attend the 2nd Annual Johns Hopkins Postdoctoral Retreat on Tuesday, April 7. Co-hosted by the Johns Hopkins and Homewood Postdoctoral Associations (JHPDA, HW-PDA), this event will focus on the exploration of career paths for postdocs - both academic and diverse. This event is FREE for postdocs and will feature a number of sessions including:
- Two workshops, covering 1) how to prepare an academic job application package; 2) identifying transferable skills and utilizing an individual development plan;
- Two breakout sessions, including 1) a round table discussion with PhDs in diverse careers; 2) a panel presentation on with PhDs in a variety of academic careers;
- Opportunities for postdocs to present their science and win travel awards through oral and abstract presentations;
- Opportunities for networking with fellow postdocs and retreat attendees.
Postdocs are invited to submit an abstract for oral or poster presentations. Judged on-site, numerous travel awards will be given to the best oral and poster presentations!
Deadlines: Abstracts are due March 7; registration closes March 31.
