Study participants with anorexia needed

Johns Hopkins researchers are conducting a placebo-controlled trial to examine the effectiveness of a research medication in the treatment of adults with anorexia nervosa. Participants will receive 16 weeks of medication (active or inactive), weekly outpatient medical monitoring by a psychiatrist, and 4 sessions of nutritional counseling. The treatment will be provided at no cost.

All information gathered will remain confidential. Compensation will be given to qualified participants. Participants receive $250 for completing all portions of the study. To participate, you must…

  • Have anorexia nervosa

  • Be 18 to 65 years old

  • Be medically stable for outpatient treatment
