Each year there are two PURA award cycles based on the JHU academic calendar. For AY (academic year) 2014–15, Cycle one occurred in the fall semester offering awarded undergrad students the opportunity to conduct the research from the spring semester immediately following the award through the spring semester of the following year. Cycle two will open Jan. 1 and close at midnight on Feb. 15 offering the selected undergrad students the opportunity to conduct the research from the summer session through the spring semester of the following year. Awardees from BOTH cycles are expected to be available to present their posters at the Poster Session and Recognition Ceremony held the fourth Tuesday in April of the following academic year (AY 2015–16).
