Tuition remission and reimbursement end-of-the-year reminders

Tuition Remission Tuition remission forms must be submitted to the Johns Hopkins University Registrar's Office of the academic division offering the course on or before Dec.15 in order to be applied to the current calendar year. There is a $5,250 annual family limit on tuition remission for faculty, staff, retirees and their spouses, same-sex domestic partners, and dependent children. Within this calendar limit, dependents' spending is limited to $2,625. Tuition remission forms for 2014 will not be accepted after Dec. 15. Information and forms on the university's tuition remission benefit can be found on the Benefits website.

Tuition Reimbursement The Tuition Reimbursement Plan for Undergraduate Studies covers part-time undergraduate studies (for employees only) at an accredited school outside of Johns Hopkins University. Reimbursement will be made for 100 percent of part-time undergraduate tuition costs, up to $2,000 paid per calendar year. The $2,000 limit also counts toward the $5,250 annual Tuition Remission benefit limit. Within 60 days of completing the course, return the Tuition Reimbursement Plan Application Form to the Benefits Service Center along with copies of your itemized tuition and fees, receipt, and grade. Reimbursement requests must be submitted within 60 days of completing the course. Requests submitted by the 5th of the month will be paid by the second pay of that month. Any requests for reimbursement submitted after Dec. 5 will count against the maximum allowance for 2015. Additional information on the university's tuition reimbursement benefit can be found on the Benefits website.
