You must enroll if you wish to:
- Participate in a Flexible Spending Account for 2015
- Make changes to your current benefits (e.g., change medical plans, add a new dependent, etc.)
If you do not enroll, your existing choices will carry forward into 2015 at the new rates. Your Flexible Spending Accounts will NOT carry over unless you actively enroll with one exception. New this year, current Health Care FSA participants can roll over up to $500 in 2014 contributions into the 2015 plan year. This rollover will occur automatically for remaining 2014 account balances up to $500.
Even if you are not planning any changes, it's a good idea to review your eligible dependents and confirm listed beneficiaries. Remember, the information you see displayed is current as of Oct. 15.
The benefits enrollment site is available to you 24 hours a day from anywhere that you have Microsoft Internet Explorer. Just go to http://www.benefits.jhu.edu, select the myChoices tab in the upper right and enroll using your JHED ID. You must click "I Accept" when finished for your annual enrollment elections to be processed. Changes can be made through Nov. 12. The latest submission of elections will become your benefit choices, effective Jan. 1, 2015. Be sure to print a copy of your online confirmation for your records.
